Makeup Junkie: More Empties! Part V: Makeup Removers and More!

Hi Everyone!  Its time for another series of empties posts.  All items were purchased by me, and as before, there will be posts for skin care, hair care, bath & body, makeup, and miscellaneous for deluxe sample size and larger packaging.  If I’ve talked about it before, I’ll try to remember to link the post below.  Enjoy and thanks for reading!sm_tools

MAKE UP FOR EVER Sens’Eyes Waterproof Sensitive Eye Cleanser – I used this eye makeup cleanser by taking 1 pump and splitting that amount between two eyes; massage half into the makeup on each eye and then use a cotton round to gently wipe away product.  This product was not greasy but it did irritate my eye if the product got in it. I’m not planning on repurchasing as there are other products that work as well without irritating my eye.

pūr~lisse pūr~delicate Gentle Soy Milk Cleanser & Makeup Remover – After I used a makeup remover to remove my makeup, I used this product to wash my face.  I did not find it to be effective as a stand-alone makeup remover nor was it successful in removing all residual makeup when I used it after removing makeup by another means.  It is very gentle, but it just doesn’t work for me.  I wouldn’t repurchase.

ALMAY Oil-Free Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads – I’ve used these in the past, and purchased this particular set for traveling; I think this particular product was a summer special, but the link is to the product that is available year-round.  These work very well for removing makeup (even gel liner and waterproof products), and I appreciate the convenience for traveling.  I would definitely repurchase as needed for travel.

ULTA Face & Body Mini Wipes Very Vanilla – If you’ve never tried these wipes, you need to!  I purchase them around the holidays when ULTA runs a promotion for 5 stocking stuffers for $5. I use these to remove makeup (at home and the gym), freshen up after runs (keep in the glove compartment), and to wipe up small spills in the car (glove compartment).  I will definitely stock up again around the holidays!

Yes To Blueberries Brightening Facial Towelettes and Yes To Cucumbers Facial Towelettes – The Yes To Blueberries Brightening Facial Towelettes came in a POPSUGAR Must Have box and the Yes To Cucumbers Facial Towelettes were part of a Target Beauty Box. The both work equally well, but I prefer the scent of the Yes To Cucumbers Facial Towelettes.  I would definitely consider repurchasing the Yes To Cucumbers Facial Towelettes.

Ole Henriksen Power Peel™ Professional Spa Grade Kit – This was a deluxe sample that included one complete treatment.  The full-size product includes 6 treatments, all individually wrapped. I actually really liked this treatment, and would consider purchasing it in the future. My skin tolerated it very well, and my skin looked so fresh and bright.

Rite Aid Cotton Rounds (Cosmetic) and ULTA Premium Round Cotton Pads – The ULTA Premium Round Cotton Pads are quilted and I prefer them to the Rite Aid Cotton Rounds (Cosmetic).  The Rite Aid Cotton Rounds (Cosmetic) leave a bit of cotton and are messier to deal with.  I would purchase the ULTA Premium Round Cotton Pads again but Target also has quilted rounds, and I will test those out in the future.
