September 2016 Favorites

I love autumn…cool, crisp mornings and evenings around a bonfire and cozy clothes to go with it all.

Reader I stayed up all night to finish Magic Binds by Ilona Andrews. As I understand it, this is the penultimate book in the series and it did not disappoint. Andrews has the unique ability to portray each character realistically, even in the context of an urban fantasy where otherwise unreal things are happening.

Foodie This has been the month of poke bowls for me! So fresh and satisfying!  Try this recipe or this recipe if you want to try to make your own poke bowl at home. Bon appetit!

Traveler TripIt is a fantastic app that you can use to keep track of all of your travel plans in one place. TripIt has been around for several years, and I’ve been using the free version quite happily. You can also share itineraries with others which is a great feature for trip planning.

Runner
My new favorite exercise app is Skyfit. It’s an audio training app that features a trainer, music, and sessions lasting from approximately 20-60 minutes. If you want to try it for yourself, sign up for the free seven-day trial. I liked it so well that I signed up for a year.

Makeup Junkie
I think I finally found my perfect nude – the Soft Matte Lip Cream in Dubai from Nyx Cosmetics. The finish is matte but smooth, and I can reapply it on its own or over the Ultra Satin Lip in Mess Around by ColourPop during the day without any issues (the latter is cooler toned). For reference, I am usually 3Y08 in the Sephora + Pantone Color IQ system.

Those are my favorites – what have you been enjoying this month?
